After days of relentless pursuit, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Dagoretti, Nairobi County, have successfully rescued a 7-year-old boy and apprehended the suspect responsible for his abduction.
The incident, which took place on June 30, 2024, occurred in Kawangware, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The young victim was abducted within the premises of his father’s church, Apostolic Pentecostal Church, located in the Congo area of Kawangware. The kidnapping left the clergyman’s family in deep distress and ignited an intensive search operation by law enforcement.
Detectives worked tirelessly for days to track down the boy. Their efforts culminated in the boy’s rescue in Ruku area of Wangige. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Juston Musundu, was arrested at the scene. Musundu was found in possession of multiple SIM cards and mobile handsets, tools he allegedly used to evade detection.
The successful operation brought immense relief to the victim’s family and the community at large. The DCI’s swift action and dedication to solving the case have been widely commended.
