East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Falhada Iman took aim at Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accusing him of inappropriate representation and hypocrisy regarding the youth of Kenya.
Iman asserted that Kalonzo Musyoka, a former Vice President of Kenya, should not claim to speak for Generation Z given recent actions. “The mood of the country calls for dialogue, yet it is both wrong and hypocritical for the former VP to assert that Gen Z opposes talks,” she emphasized.
Central to her critique was Kalonzo’s nomination of his son to the EALA parliament. “Honorable Kalonzo chose his own son over thousands of equally capable youths,” Iman criticized, suggesting that this decision demonstrates a lack of genuine concern for young people outside his family circle.
Addressing Kalonzo directly, Iman stated, “We respect you, but please do not mislead other people’s children. Kindly refrain from politicizing this serious matter for personal gain. It is inappropriate for you to lecture the government on resolving the current crisis while only adding fuel to the fire.”
The remarks from MP Falhada Iman come amidst a backdrop of heightened political tensions and youth activism in Kenya.
