Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has advised President William Ruto to take his time while picking individuals for his Cabinet.
Speaking while attending a Sunday Mass at St. Jude Catholic church in Athiriver, Wavinya told the President Kenyans were looking up at him to fill up his cabinet with the right individuals.
“For sure the President did a good thing to dissolve his cabinet. I now request him to take time, and not rush in picking the calibre of people Kenyans want,” she said.
Last week, President Ruto sacked his entire Cabinet following intense pressure from Kenyans who have been calling for better governance.
The governor observed that although public servants cannot be without fault, the President has the opportunity to identify and pick individuals who are able to work for Kenyans.
She urged christians to stand in the gap and pray for the country, saying peace was critical in development and cohesion.
