Mpuru Aburi

Tigania East Member of Parliament Mpuru Aburi has filed a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Meru, alleging that his life is in danger. Aburi claims that there are coordinated efforts by some individuals, allegedly supported by a senior politician from Meru County, to plan his assassination.

In his statement, Aburi indicated that these threats are linked to his strong political stance and positions within Meru County. He expressed concern that his outspoken views and political actions might have triggered these dangerous intentions against him.

Aburi’s lawyer, Anthony Mwenda, emphasized the importance of documenting these threats with the DCI, highlighting that such allegations should be taken seriously. Mwenda underscored that ignoring such threats could be perilous, as there have been instances in the past where individuals lost their lives after similar threats were made.

The DCI in Meru County is expected to investigate the claims to ensure the safety of the MP and address any potential security risks.
