BuuPass, Team SWAT partner to digitize bus travel in Western Kenya

Bus travel across Western Kenya is set to become more efficient following the integration of Team SWAT Logistics and Management Ltd into BuuPass’s digital ticketing system.

Team SWAT, a key bus operator connecting Nyanza, South Rift Valley, Western Kenya and Nairobi, has adopted an online booking system that allows passengers to reserve seats and make payments through the BuuPass platform.

The move eliminates the need for physical ticket purchases and manual booking processes.

The new Bus Management System is expected to improve efficiency by reducing cash leakages and enhancing booking accuracy.

Passengers can now access real-time seat availability and secure payment options, streamlining the travel experience.

BuuPass has been involved in efforts to digitize Kenya’s public transport sector, aiming to modernize ticketing systems and enhance service delivery for commuters.
