The Ministry of Health in Kenya has confirmed a second laboratory-confirmed case of Mpox (Monkeypox) as the outbreak continues to spread within the country. The announcement comes after a second patient tested positive at a facility within the Coast Region. The patient, who had a history of recent travel to the Port of Entry in the same region, has been isolated and is under active management. This new case follows the initial detection of Mpox in Kenya on 31st July 2024.
