CFAO Motors Kenya Rebrands to CFAO Mobility Kenya in Strategic Move

Local automotive solutions provider CFAO Motors Kenya has announced a corporate identity transformation, rebrandingto CFAO Mobility Kenya. This change is part of a strategic effort to solidify the company’s brand positioning as a multi-brand mobility solutions provider, aligning with the Corporation for Africa & Overseas (CFAO Group) global branding standards.

CFAO Mobility Kenya Managing Director, Mr. Arvinder Reel, confirmed the move, stating that the firm will continue investing to expand its product portfolio across customer segments while advancing sustainable mobility solutions. These include the sale of Hybrid Electric Vehicles alongside Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles, with plans to introduce Electric Vehicles soon.

“This new identity as CFAO Mobility Kenya allows us to roll out relevant mobility solutions across our customer segments while optimizing our operations across all our divisions to ensure we deliver value for our customers. The adoption of CFAO Mobility Kenya identity is also a renewed commitment by our staff and operating partners towards delivering exceptional client experience,” Mr. Reel noted.

The rebranding will enhance CFAO Mobility Kenya’s market presence with diversified business lines, including pre-owned vehicle sales, independent quick-fix auto service outlets, and vehicle spares sales. Known for its dominance in the local market for passenger, light to medium commercial vehicles, and trucks, CFAO Mobility Kenya will continue to invest heavily in capital and human resources to develop its passenger vehicle portfolio and expand its light and medium commercial trucks offerings.

“The transformation and transition to CFAO Mobility Kenya is much more than a name change, as it’s a turn of a new page as a business. We aim to live to the true value of an end-to-end mobility solution provider powering the Kenyan economy and empowering every Kenyan by providing quality automotive solutions that are fit for purpose and deliver value,” Mr. Reel explained.

CFAO Mobility Kenya, a subsidiary of international business services firm Corporation for Africa & Overseas (CFAO Group), is the authorized distributor and service provider for brands including Toyota, Yamaha motorcycles, Volkswagen, Suzuki, Mercedes Benz, Hino, Hyundai, and Sinotruk (HOWO). The company operates a network of 42 branches, dealers, and authorized service centers across Kenya, offering exceptional after-sales services. Additional services include certified pre-owned vehicle sales through Automark, quick-fix services via AUTOFAST outlets in Nairobi, and affordable spare parts through the WINPART brand.

Last year, CFAO Mobility Kenya maintained steady growth in the local automotive market. Data from the Kenya Motor Industry (KMI) confirmed the firm’s dominance in the general segment, excluding the Trucks—medium and large buses category—with a 59% share. The company’s success was primarily driven by stable sales from its flagship Toyota brand, which contributed 53%. In total, CFAO Mobility Kenya held a 32% market share, up from 28% in 2022, with total sales of 3,639 vehicles across its Toyota, Suzuki, Hino, VW, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, and Sinotruk portfolio.
