The Kisumu County Assembly Open Day aims to raise awareness about the Assembly’s mandate, the functions and achievements of its committees, and to strengthen stakeholder engagement and foster a closer relationship with the public.
Kisumu residents had the opportunity to interact directly with the County Assembly, its committees, and their elected representatives, asking questions and seeking answers. The event highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to transparency and public participation.
Governor Nyong’o emphasized the importance of public engagement, noting the success of the Huduma Mashinani forums introduced by the Executive branch, which have provided excellent platforms for feedback.
