Homa Bay County Governor Gladys Wanga has launched the “Genowa Ondoa Kaunda Classrooms” initiative, aimed at modernizing classrooms and boosting education across the county. The ambitious project, titled “Building Futures – Reconstructing Learning Spaces for Tomorrow’s Leaders,” will see the construction of 240 modern classrooms using a community-led and labor-based approach.
Unveiling the project at God Ndonyo Primary School in Kibiri Ward, Wanga emphasized the initiative’s goal to foster a sense of ownership within the local community. She highlighted that the project would stimulate the local economy by creating jobs and utilizing local resources.
As the initiative progresses, it is expected to significantly enhance students’ learning experiences and provide teachers with improved facilities to deliver quality education. Governor Wanga’s commitment to this project underscores her dedication to uplifting the educational standards and infrastructure within Homa Bay County.
