The Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat this afternoon paid a courtesy call on Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, where they discussed the current state of Kenyan football, with a particular focus on the performance of the national team, Harambee Stars.

The CS noted that the initiative has been instrumental in creating a clear pathway for emerging talents like Aldrin Kibet and Amos Wanjala to advance into the national team.
The deliberations also explored the recent achievements of the #TalantaHela initiative, notably, Amos Wanjala’s impressive performance with the U23 team at the COSAFA tournament in South Africa.
The two were in agreement that their involvement in the tournament demonstrated the effectiveness of the talent progression pipeline, with the inclusion of his teammate from Nastic Soccer Academy, Aldrin Kibet, in the team selection, recognized as a testament to the initiative’s impact.
CS Ababu assured Coach Firat of the government’s unwavering support in sustaining the established talent progression pipeline, emphasizing the importance of continuing to provide opportunities and resources to young athletes, to guarantee a steady flow of talent from the youth levels to the senior national team.
On his part, Coach Firat expressed his gratitude to the CS for his visionary approach to supporting Kenyan football, highlighting the immediate success brought about by the flagship #TalantaHela Program on the Kenyan football.
