Koskei Reduces Advisors to CSs to One, personal staff to two

Felix Koskei

The Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, has instructed Cabinet Secretaries to reduce the number of technical advisors from two to one, following President William Ruto’s directive issued last week.

Koskei stated that any advisor exceeding the new limit will be immediately phased out from the Public Service. Additionally, personal staff CSs will remain capped at two.

President William Ruto’s address last week underscored the importance of fiscal discipline and the need to restore public faith in government institutions through enhanced accountability, transparency, and good governance.

The reduction in advisors is a key step towards achieving these objectives and reinforcing the administration’s commitment to responsible governance.
