Police in Ndumberi, Kiambu County, are investigating the brutal killing of a middle-aged man, identified only as Ken, at his house in Mbururia village last evening.
Ken was allegedly lynched by a group of men reportedly hired by his mother to beat him up for allegedly stealing and selling household items from her house.
According to neighbors, the gang assaulted the victim with crude weapons before fleeing the scene, leaving him for dead. Police arrived later to find the lifeless body.
Neighbors have called for a thorough investigation into the attack, noting that the mother is known to be mentally unstable. They argue that any instructions she may have given should not have been taken seriously.
“We want justice for Ken,” said a neighbor. “We will not allow his body to be buried until those responsible for the killing are arrested.”
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the community is hopeful that justice will be served.
