President William Ruto has officially flagged off Kenya’s 79-member National Olympics team from State House Nairobi, ahead of their participation in the upcoming Paris Olympics. The contingent comprises 70 athletes set to compete in various Olympic disciplines, alongside nine Paralympians.
In his address, President Ruto reiterated the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to the athletes, ensuring they represent Kenya with distinction at the international sporting event starting later this month in Paris, France.
“We are fully behind our team as they embark on this journey to the Paris Olympics. Their dedication and achievements make us proud, and we have utmost confidence that they will serve as our true ambassadors in Paris,” President Ruto affirmed.
