Shujaa Rugby 7s Team Departs for Paris Olympics Training Camp

Kenya’s Sports Cabinet Secretary, Ababu Namwamba, bid farewell to the national rugby 7s team, Shujaa, as they embarked on their journey to Miramas, southern France.

The team is set to undergo rigorous training in preparation for the #Paris2024 Olympics, marking the first contingent of #TeamKenya to depart for the prestigious event.

In a ceremony held at a Nairobi hotel, Namwamba commended Shujaa for their dedication and resilience, expressing confidence in their ability to make Kenya proud on the global stage. He emphasized the significance of the training camp in fine-tuning the team’s skills and strategy ahead of the highly anticipated tournament.

As part of the send-off, Namwamba also unveiled the official kit pack for the rugby 7s team. Each discipline-specific kit, tailored to enhance performance and represent Kenya’s national colors with pride, will be gradually unveiled as the respective teams depart for their training camps.

Shujaa Rugby 7s is poised to showcase Kenya’s prowess and determination on the international rugby stage at #Paris2024.
