121 Officers Removed from Machakos County Payroll Over Fake Certificates

Machakos County Government has removed 121 officers from its payroll after an investigation revealed they used fake KCSE certificates to secure employment. County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Muya Ndambuki, announced yesterday that an inquiry by the County Public Service Board into the credentials of 5,018 county government employees uncovered the fraud. Dr. Muya stated that the county is also undertaking a thorough verification process for diplomas and degree certificates.
