Huawei has announced plans to set up a Digital Village prototype in Butaleja, Eastern Uganda, aimed at promoting the uptake of ICT in rural areas, particularly in education and business processes. This initiative was unveiled during a meeting between Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and a Huawei delegation led by Gao Hover, the President of Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa, at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi.
