Hazina Sacco today marked a significant milestone by holding its Annual General Elections for Nairobi branch officials. With participation from 78 units, a total of 133 delegates were elected, each representing 60 Sacco members, underscoring the cooperative’s commitment to inclusivity and democracy.
Speaking after the successful election, the Lang’ata Sub-County Cooperative Officer Mr. Hillary Musina commended Hazina Sacco for conducting a transparent and professional process. “Hazina Sacco has set an example of integrity and professionalism that I urge other cooperatives to follow,” he remarked.
Dr. Dickson Okungu, the Sacco’s CEO, expressed gratitude for the impressive turnout. “The overwhelming participation is a testament to our members’ dedication to their democratic rights as outlined in the Sacco by-laws,” he said. Echoing these sentiments, National Chairman Mr. Evans Kibagendi praised members for their peaceful conduct. “We are proud to host such an orderly process without requiring police presence to secure the venue,” he noted.
Established in 1971, Hazina Sacco has grown to include members from both public and private sectors.
